Pete Sala, Syracuse University's vice president and chief facilities officer, gave updates on campus construction projects in a campus-wide email Tuesday.

Campus construction projects, including Hendricks Chapel improvements, continue to move forward at Syracuse University, a university official said Tuesday.

“As we enter the fall semester we continue to work on smaller-scale projects across campus and we begin to plan for classroom, laboratory and residence hall improvements for next summer,” said Pete Sala, vice president and chief facilities officer, in his September construction update email.

Sala will keep sending the updates this year, he said. The September project updates include:

Carnegie Library: Two new study rooms will be finished before the semester ends. Work on heating system improvements continues.

Crouse College: Masonry repairs and restoration work is ongoing this fall.

Hendricks Chapel: SU expects work to be finished by the first week of October. New granite steps are done and the plaza outside Hendricks is nearly complete.

Regent Theatre Complex: Construction will wrap up this September on new accessible bathrooms and a single-user accessible restroom in Archbold Theatre.

Other ongoing construction projects featured on the SU Campus Facilities Administration and Services website include: infrastructure replacements at the Steam Station, fire alarm upgrades at Goldstein Student Center and work on the Academic Success Center at Bird Library.
