In his four years at SU, Dungey threw for the most yards in school history.

Former Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey has signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Giants, he announced on Thursday night via Instagram.

The signing comes after days of speculation following the draft, as more than 30 quarterbacks had committed to at least a rookie minicamp before Dungey.

The Orange’s four-year starter finished his final season with SU as the all-time leader in total offense. Dungey tied or holds 24 Syracuse records and finished his career with 9,340 passing yards and 58 touchdowns while rushing for 1,993 yards and scoring 35 times.

After leading Syracuse to its winningest season since 2001 this past fall, Dungey joins a quarterback room in New York that includes Eli Manning, newly drafted Daniel Jones, Alex Tanney and Kyle Lauletta.
