On Tuesday night in the Carrier Dome, Syracuse (8-7, 1-3 Atlantic Coast) suffered its second-consecutive loss to open ACC play. Elijah Hughes scored a team-high 18 points, but he did so on 16 shots and as SU’s defense faltered down the stretch.
