Defensive tackle Cross joins Syracuse Class of 2015, becomes 19th commit

Defensive tackle Tyler Cross verbally committed to Syracuse on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.

Cross attends Chapel Hill (Ga.) High School and is listed at 6 feet, 3 inches and 275 pounds by Scout.com. He is not ranked or rated by the site.

Syracuse was Cross’ only school of interest and the only one he received an offer from, according to Scout.com. He is the fourth defensive lineman to verbally pledge after Dana Levine (two stars), Anthony Giudice (two stars) and Brandon Ginnetti (two stars).

Cross became the 19th member of the Orange’s Class of 2015. He is the second verbal commit from Georgia after safety Christopher Fredrick pledged last week.
